This policy explains what RealEditors.com collects, how we use it and the choices you have. RealEditors.com is run by Team Butler, LLC (“RealEditors,” “we” or “us”).
What we collect
- Contact and account details. Your name, email address and login details when you create an account or place an order.
- Your content. The drafts, notes, files and instructions you send us, and the finished pieces we send back.
- Order and payment details. What you ordered and when. Payments are handled by our payment processor, and we don’t store full card numbers.
- Messages. Emails and messages you send us.
- Site data. Information your browser sends when you visit, such as your IP address, browser type and the pages you view. We use cookies to keep you logged in and to understand how the site is used.
How we use it
- To do the work you order. Your writer and editor read your draft and instructions.
- To run our quality checks, including two independent Ai-writing detectors. These detectors are outside services, so the text of your rewrite is sent to them for scoring.
- To manage your account, orders and payments, and to answer your questions.
- To keep the site secure and working, and to improve our service.
- To meet our legal, tax and accounting obligations.
Who we share it with
We share your information only with:
- Our writers and editors, so they can do the work.
- Service providers that help us run RealEditors.com, such as hosting, email, payments and Ai-writing detection. They may use it only to provide their service to us.
- Authorities, when the law requires it.
We don’t sell your personal information. We don’t publish your drafts or finished pieces, or use them in our marketing, without your permission.
How long we keep it
We keep your account details while your account is open. We keep your drafts and finished pieces so you can request edits and reorder, and we delete them when you ask. We keep order records for as long as tax and accounting rules require.
Your choices
You can ask us to show you, correct, export or delete the personal information we hold about you. Email us at [email protected] and we’ll reply within 30 days. Depending on where you live, local law may give you more rights, and we’ll honor them.
Security
Our site uses encrypted connections, and only the people who need your content to do the work can see it. No system is perfectly secure, so please don’t put passwords or payment card numbers in your drafts.
Children
RealEditors.com is for adults and businesses. We don’t knowingly collect information from children under 13.
Changes to this policy
When we change this policy, we’ll update the date at the top of this page. If a change is significant, we’ll tell you by email or on the site.
